Downtown Entertainment District Phase II Redevelopment Plan
USA Niagara, acting in concert with the City of Niagara Falls, seeks statements of qualifications (RFQ) for  Engineering/Landscape "Design Team" aspects of the Dowtown Entertainment District - Phase II Redevelopment. The scope of the project, as defined in conceptual plans, is the creation of a viable Streetscape Plan for Old Falls Street which includes road reconstruction, pedestrian amenities and accessibility, street lighting, utility services, furnishing and fixtures; the redevelopment of Power City Park, including the historic interpretation of the buried Hydraulic Canal and connection to the river gorge; and creation of a visitor friendly way-finding and trailblazing signage system, for circulation within the downtown area and connection area attractions. The consulting team will work with USA Niagara Development Corporation and the City of Niagara Falls to create a pedestrian friendly streetscape and park that compliment the revitalized urban area surrounding the Entertainment District, the Conference Center Niagara Falls (Conference Center) and the Seneca Niagara Casino. The qualifications statement submission deadline will be due on Monday, August 29, 2005 at 5:00 PM.
